The Lucky Dip - tea-bug

Where to go? tea-bug

What to buy? Mystery Bag

What does it cost? £3 plus shipping

What's it all about?
Contains £5.50 worth of goods! Including:
1 x A5 Print, 3 x Postcard Prints, 1 x 25mm Button Badge + matching print set
*** Please note these current mystery bags do not contain bookmarks ***
The contents are a surprise - so please don't request specific items! (That would be missing the point!) However if you have purchased from me previously please let me know in the notes to seller & I'll make sure that your previous purchases aren't duplicated : )

This time I decided to go off the beaten path with these manga flavored grab bags. Filled with various art prints, some of which are even suitable for use as regular postcards, rounded off with cute lil' pins, this has been a bit of an adventurous buying decision for me which I certainly don't regret. I love how different kinds of drawing styles, including some fun cartoons, are represented here, so you get a great idea about the available range of prints. And even more so I am totally taken by the attention to detail as well as the tongue-in-cheek humor. Plus, such a bargain price!
Verdict? A fabulous print selection for friends of art!

Personal Favorite? Evening Breeze Print (Grab Bag I: on the left)

Do you like art that's inspired by anime and manga? Are cartoons something you'd rather just read or maybe also frame and put on the wall?

Adventures in Postcrossing #7

The goal of Postcrossing is to connect the world via real mail, by allowing you to exchange postcards with other random members around the world.

After skipping the presentation of my Postcrossing haul last month I will cut right to the chase with some card-shaped eye candy!

Where did all those pretties come from? Austria, Belarus, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Russia, Slovenia, Spain, Taiwan, Ukraine, the USA. So many different countries and a whole lot of really amazing postcards to boot.

Apart from my obvious fondness of all those tea time and teddy bear cards which will make me squeal with delight every time, the one from Taiwan is the one that stands out the most this time. It's a sort of see-through card which you can't quite see on the photo (it's the one to the right of the "Smile" card on the first photo in this blog post - it shows a train and scenery), but trust me when I say, this is among the coolest I now have in my collection.

And you should have seen my surprise when, for the very first time, I found a postcard from my own country in my mailbox. You have the option to activate sending/receiving to/from your own country if you wish to do so (not everyone does that, but I thought it'd be fun) and with Austria not having as many participants as eg Germany or Russia it has taken this long to finally happen. Now I wonder when I will be the one sending out a card to a "neighbor", because I dare say it can't be long now. *fingers crossed*

Also super exciting, in my humble opinion, is the fact that among the cards I've sent, one is heading to South Africa which is a pretty rare destination you don't get to write to often. It'd be even neater if I received a card from there myself one of these days. One can only hope.

What's the most unusual card you ever received? Let me know!

What's it all about?
We are having a big clear out of our studio space and this means great savings for our customers.
Your POSTCARD LUCKY DIP will include:
12 x Postcards
PLUS some extra randomly selected goodies
Your lucky dip box will be put together by hand and will include randomly selected postcards and some now discontinued items. Sadly you cannot request that specific items to be included.
This listing is the perfect gift for a loved one and even more perfect as a gift for yourself! If you have been looking to start a collection of Hungry Designs postcards or you just enjoy writing to friends and family now is your chance to pick up a bargain!

With my newly awakened passion for Postcrossing it's little wonder I simply had to have a grab bag that caters to my need of owning an adequate number of postcards to send. The selection I got is not just a fantastic mix in itself, but also showcases the varied designs the artist offers in her shop. From quirky Disney to adorable Kawaii, with some Steampunk thrown in for good measure, all rounded off by a zombie in love, these will surly make for unique mailbox-food. Lastly, the extras aren't anything I had needed, though they add a sweet touch to the whole set.
Verdict? A post-iliciously awesome illustrated card pack!

Personal Favorite? Alice in Wonderland Selfie Card

Which of these designs appeals to you the most? Do you prefer postcards featuring photography or are you rather drawn to illustrated ones like these?
