The Lucky Dip - Oddities of Jewelry

Where to go? Oddities of Jewelry

What to buy? Jewelry Grab Bag

What does it cost? $4,99 plus shipping

What's it all about?
Looking for stocking stuffers? These grab bags are affordable and perfect for stocking gifts! If you would like personalized grab bags let me know in the notes at time of purchase or message me.
You will receive TWO items in the bag.
The following is a list of items that could be in your grab bag:
-Earrings, -Necklaces, -Bobby pins, -Bracelets, -Rings, -Hair combs, -Matching sets

Even before opening the box these goodies arrived in I got excited merely by the weight and soft jingling of the surprise hidden inside. The two grab bags I ordered each came in a gauze bag and held two very different styles in store for me. While the charmingly romantic cameo pieces and the playful lucite flower earrings captured me right away, I'm torn regarding the chunky bead bracelet. On one hand those are totally my colors on the other it's a just too flashy for my taste. I guess I will not use it to fill up my own jewelry box and stuff someone's stocking with it instead.
Verdict? A lovely lil' jewelry treat for gifting (and keeping)!

Personal Favorite? Red Rose Cameo Bangle

Which of the two grab bag versions is your favorite? Are you more the type of girl to go for dainty jewelry or do you prefer eye-catchers like the chunky bracelet?

Adventures in Postcrossing #5

The goal of Postcrossing is to connect the world via real mail, by allowing you to exchange postcards with other random members around the world.

After last month's postcard-palooza things I'm happy to say that the cards keep on coming. Add three cards which I won/swapped in a Postcrossing group on Facebook and we're once again looking at quite a considerable haul. Of course it doesn't matter how many (or few) postcards arrive, it always puts a smile on my face when a new one arrives, not to mention the thrill of possibly maybe holding one from a super exotic location in my hands each time I spot a postcard in my mailbox.

This time my haul certainly put a spotlight on Germany from where most postcards arrived, but I also received cards from Belarus, China, Finland, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and the Ukraine. Imagine how excited I was when I realized I had received mail from Singapore and South Korea only to turn the cards around and see that the sender chose to send a design depicting ... Athens and Hollywood. *face palm* At least I now own some rare stamps from these countries, but believe me that was a big bummer. On the bright side - I am totally in love with the Alice in Wonderland and the Pretty Shoes card!

Apropos far away destinations - according to my statistics, and since I have taken up Postcrossing again last year, I sent cards to 27 different countries and received cards from 21 different ones (in both cases Germany is at the top of the list, closely followed by Russia). Not bad I'd say, however with members hailing from more than 200 countries, I'm looking forward to encountering many more countries in the months to come.

Last but not least - did you know that February is International Correspondence Writing Month*? Personally I don't think I have the time (or enough stationary) to engage in a whole month of writing letters, but it's a pretty nifty idea.

Are you more a card-type of writer or do you prefer composing long letters? Let me know!

The Lucky Dip - The Fox and The Teacup

Where to go? The Fox and The Teacup

What to buy? Sticker Sampler Pack

What does it cost? $5 plus shipping

What's it all about?
Here's an awesome way to sample some of my work on one of my most popular products: stickers!
I've created just a few of these sticker sampler packs that contain a random assortment of 54 round 1 inch stickers from my collection. Most of these are leftover from my regular sticker sets.
Please note, you may not necessarily receive the stickers in the picture. This is just a surprise pack, so you won't know what you're getting until it arrives!

Granted, to many stickers are kiddy stuff, but being all grown-up doesn't keep me from flaunting my love for them. Adding that extra cheerfulness to outgoing mail? That'd be me. Fairies and robots, dragons and woodland creatures - the variety of stickers truly put a smile on my face which is little wonder seeing the cute designs and illustrations that are beyond adorable. Obviously this sampler, which in my mind is really a best-of, is not just a perfect way to, well, sample a broad selection of stickers, it also perfectly caters to those who can't quite decide which ones to get.
Verdict? A wonderful sticker mix of the whimsical kind!

Personal Favorite? The Bookish Forest Stickers

Have you got a foible for cute stickers too? Would you use them for journaling or maybe to spruce up outgoing letters or rather have your kids have fun with them?
