Project 365 - Day 86

The Lucky Dip - Red Apple Tree

Where to go? Red Apple Tree

What to buy? Large Lucky Dip Bag

What does it cost? £10 plus shipping

What's it all about? Each of the large bags will include some of the following .... brooch, case of some sort (ie phone, pouch), lavender bag, egg cosy, cushion cover, crochet headband, fabric basket, fabric book cover plus more! All bags contain either a drawstring case or a cushion cover.
Each bag costs £10 but in reality it would have cost at the very least £25, so grab a bargain while you can!

I think I died and went to so-cute-sewn heaven! Being my greedy self I opted for the large version of this lucky dip and I'm sure glad I did. Neither am I ashamed to say that I ordered two more last week and who could blame me? Just look at all those adorable pieces! I truly love all the different fabrics and the variety of items I received and already found use for every single one of them. Admittedly I played a brief guessing game until I recognized the egg cozies for what they are, but in my defense, I don't eat eggs, ha. What it all sews down to is a fabric delight right to my liking!

Personal Favorite? Fabric Book Cover

Which of these fabric goodies do you like best? Are you more of a polka dot or floral pattern person? And in case you're a reader, tell me, how you like this adorable fabric book cover?

Project 365 - Day 84

The Lucky Dip - Irodori Life

Where to go? Irodori Life

What to buy? Japanese Happy Bag

What does it cost? $29 plus shipping

What's it all about? Happy Bag A 5 items with $40-45 worth
* A kimono bracelet [...], * A plum blossom ring (Adjustable / cotton), * A pair of tiny earrings with cherry blossom silhouette (0.55 in / 14 mm blossom with resin coating origami paper), * A book mark with Yuzen origami paper ( 2 in / 5cm square ), * A mystery item (?)

What better way to get a taste of Japan than by bringing it to me? With this grab bag you know exactly the kind of items you will receive yet you do have the surprise factor too. My choice of "dark colors" was rewarded with the most darling blue fabric used for my bracelet. Or should I say necklace? Silly ol' me wasn't even aware that it can be worn as both, not to mention the mystery item which turned out to be a blossom charm which complements it perfectly. Add the cutest packaging and you can imagine the smile on my face. In short, this happy bag truly made me happy!

Personal Favorite? Kimono Bracelet

Do you find traditional Kimono fabrics being transformed into jewelry as charming as I do? How do you like the bracelet that also doubles as necklace? And finally, which color bracelet would you have wished for?

The Lucky Dip - Wind & Willow Home

Where to go? Wind & Willow Home

What to buy? Mini SuRPriSe Goodie Bag

What does it cost? $19 plus shipping

What's it all about? This fun goodie bag is made up of 5-7 assorted mini's {$40-50 value}. You will receive a surprise selection of mini bowls, treasure pots, mini planters and candle cups in assorted colors, FUN!
Don't worry, they aren't seconds or damaged goods. I change my colors with the seasons and often times I have extras that need good homes...YOURS.

If this isn't taking the whole lucky dip idea to the next level, I don't know what is. My goodie bag came with an assortment of cute wooden mini bowls and the likes dipped in lovely pastel colors. Spring sure arrived early not just in my home as I already used two pieces for gift purposes and they were well received. A small *pun intended* downside is that I'm still struggling to find a succulent for the mini planter in the back of the photo, but if all else fails, let's declare it an eggcup instead. Just kidding. Suffice to say I'm more than happy with those darling pieces!

Personal Favorite? Candle Cup Set

How do you like such mini housewares? What kind of colors would you like your mini bowls dipped in? And which treasure would you put in the appropriatley named treasure pot?

The Lucky Dip - Heather Jeany

Where to go? Heather Jeany

What to buy? Super Surprise Mystery 10 Item Grab Bag

What does it cost? $15 plus shipping

What's it all about? 10 super fun items from my shop, some may be pictured in the photo, others may be mystery surprises. Lots of this stuff will never be printed again so this is a great chance to get a bunch of it for a super good deal! [...] You WILL get 10 different items from my shop with the approximate total value of $40.

In case you haven't noticed, I'm quite fond of all things paper and being handmade certainly puts that extra cherry on the greeting card cake. Of course this surprise held more than just cards, in fact I'd call it screenprint galore with all kinds of goodies ranging from gift tags all the way to a mixtape patch which shall be lovingly sewn on a tote bag in the near future. Add that I was immediatley taken by the retro feel of the prints too. Such a grand variety of papery goodness was just what I had bargained for, and what a bargain it turned out to be!

Personal Favorite? Orange Flower Coasters

Are paper/stationary grab bags down your alley too? Would you agree that handmade cards make snail mail extra special? Last but not least, how do you like the mixtape patch and where would you sew it on?

Project 365 - Day 72

The Lucky Dip - Damson Tree Pottery

Where to go? Damson Tree Pottery

What to buy? 2014 SALE Bargain 5 Items Lucky Dip

What does it cost? £10 plus shipping

What's it all about? 2014 SALE Colourful ceramic jewellery grab bags of mixed rings, brooches and pendants. Lucky dip 5 items in a bag. Bargain collection of studio clearance items, so I can make space for new designs in 2014!
These are 1/5th of their original price. So 5 items for the price of 1.

What's the first thing that comes to mind when you think of pottery? Plates, cups, tiles, a vase maybe? Now how about some jewelry thrown in for good measure? My lucky dip surprised me with mostly rings which usually wouldn't be my first choice though I totally adore the ones I did receive as much as the brooch and pendant included. One thing is for sure, these are wonderfully playful designs which bring a taste of spring with them and if there's one downside then it's how Etsy is slowly making me a ring-convert which can't be a good thing. *wink*

Personal Favorite? Blue Glazed Star Ring

Have you ever seen jewelry made out of ceramics? How do you like this idea and would you wear such pieces? And to take this a step further - have you ever dabbled in pottery yourself?

Project 365 - Day 70

The Lucky Dip - Main Squeeze Press

Where to go? Main Squeeze Press

What to buy? Surprise It's a Surprise

What does it cost? $4.57 plus shipping

What's it all about? Includes 4-5 items of letterpress miscellany (approximately $10 value). All bags are compiled from an assortment of cards, postcards, tags, coasters, bookmarks.

I bet you've been down the I-just-can't-decide road before, haven't we all? This is why grab bags are usually a great way of getting a first taste. So here we are, grab bags (plural!) in hand and grin on my face, because what I discovered in those bland paper bags wasn't bland at all. I received a neat selection of the different kinds of items on offer in the shop, all wonderfully fun and quirky. The only thing I'm not so sure about are the cardboard coasters as I will constantly live in fear of ruining them, but oh well that's what they're made for, right? Now which of the two do I prefer? I'd say Grab Bag II wins by a nose. My verdict? A perfect sampler at a bargain price, who could ask for more?

Personal Favorite? "IOU" Notecard

What kind of greeting cards do you prefer - traditional ones or more unusual ones like these? And how about those cardboard coasters - am I being weird for hesitating to actually use them? Finally, which of the two grab bags do you like better?

Project 365 - Day 65

The Lucky Dip - Bramblefae Boutique

Where to go? Bramblefae Boutique

What to buy? Grab Bag Contains a Size 7 Ring and More

What does it cost? $10 plus shipping

What's it all about? This is for a mixed grab bag of items, containing 2 to 4 items from previous Bramblefae shows and things that I haven't put on Etsy before. The retail value of this mixed bag of Bramblefae jewelry is *at least* $20.00, and will contain at least 1 ring in a size 7 (generally made of coated copper wire), and up to 3 other items.
[...] I will just be randomly picking bags that match the ring size when I receive an order, but you WILL get good items that I have in stock after the year's shows, not junk or crap. :)

If fairies went on shopping sprees it'd be a fair bet they will end up here. I might not be a fairy, but no one's perfect. Admittedly I'm not usually drawn to rings, but somehow I couldn't resist this time. Maybe it was the whimsical designs that lured me in or an elf whispering in my ear. Either way I really like everything I received, including both rings, the one in the top right corner being quite an unusual, adjustable ring, and it's neat that the other ring makes a lovely set with the earrings too. Suffice to say, this is a delightful surprise not just for Tolkien lovers!

Personal Favorite? "Pea Pod" Earrings

Would you agree that these goodies are perfect for elves and fairies? Do you prefer rings in an actual size or adjustable ones? And how do you like the use of copper? I think I'm becoming a fan of this material.

Project 365 - Day 63

The Lucky Dip - DC Bijou

Where to go? DC Bijou

What to buy? Mystery Box - Fabric Item Edition

What does it cost? $17 plus shipping

What's it all about? You will receive a total of 5 bagged items - as seen in the main photo, they will be packaged and tied with ribbon and a card. The contents inside will be a surprise for you - as I've already packaged everything, not even I can tell what's inside the bags I reach for!
Minimum approximate value for each set is $30, although individual pieces average closer to $10/item, so you'll get your money's worth and then some! [...] what you might get with your order, such as: zipper pouches for storing pencils/makeup/electronics/etc., business card cases/slim wallets, coasters, key fobs/fabric keychains, fabric flower brooches/pins.

Chevron chevron chevron. Some people get excited over polka dots and I get excited when I see chevron. I think we have a winner, both in content and in value. A great mix of bags, cases and pouches, plus the mysterious item to the left which had me guessing for a moment before I noticed the included card which revealed it to be a plastic bag holder. Now there's a fun and practical idea! And see those cute Macaron Earrings? A lovely freebie for being the first international customer from Austria this year, yay! Bottom, or should I say chevron line, this grab bag filled my inner fabric pattern lover with delight!

Personal Favorite? Multicolored Chevron Wristlet

What kind of patterns do you love? Are you by any chance a fan of chevron like myself? And most importantly, would you have recognized the plastic bag holder for what it is?
